We went to church. Aspen and I played a musical number. And we enjoyed the rest of the day lounging around in pajamas and trying out/putting together all the new toys.

Hazel got an American Girl doll: Ruthie.

Isaac got a rainbow's worth of new drumsticks, an ipod and a remote control airplane (which sadly crashed on it's second flight -- despite supposed anticrash technology -- and is awaiting new wings).

Aspen got a new hat and gloves and an ipod with a watchband (so that it will be less likely to join it's predescessors in the washing machine) as well as lots of knitting supplies.

Toby got Legos, an ipod and a new blanket. As well as a lot of new books (which will probably all be read by Friday).

The family got Just Dance for the Wii. Toby's goal is to beat Aspen, who is the reigning dance queen.
I got a new camera body! Yea! I had resorted to phone camera photo taking because the shutter had nearly died on my dSLR. So now I am excited to take pictures again with this new camera. And Nate got some new fancy cookbooks and this art mobile. Toby bought him a mushroom growing kit. ANd Hazel got him some cuff links.
It was also nice to take the opportunity to talk to all my brothers and sisters. We talked to Axel in Japan and Hester in Switzerland. Over the course of the day we managed to get a hold of everyone but Pete. I missed checking in with him and his family. But I am sure it was fun day for them as well.
I am so grateful for the technology we have to be able to easliy chat with far away family. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and is enjoying their break. Love you all!
