Day 22: Do They know it's Christmastime?

An interdenominational group here in Lawrence runs a program that provides lunch to the homeless.  This year for Christmas Eve we signed on to help serve and bring cheer to the homeless in our community.

So many people helped.  Some donated food, some their time, and everyone brought their love and smiles.

Isaac thought that industrial water sprayer was fun.  He told me he would always volunteer for dish duty if we had one in our kitchen.  That might be enough motivation for me to actually get one.  It would be worth the money I think.

It's such a great opportunity to remember how much we have to be thankful for.  Heavenly Father has blessed us so much.  I hope that in the coming year we can find more opportunities to bless others to show our gratitude for how much God has blessed us.

Nice! Good Job! I participate in the "Empty Bowl project for our community. Each year potters make bowls and we sell them and donate the money to "Catholic Worker" which feeds the homeless here. What you are doing is closer and you can see the results first hand.

For many years after Bonny and Bruce got together, we took sack lunches to the homeless on Christmas day - it was a tradition in his family. It was a great experience.
