Kansas City Missouri Temple Openhouse

The temple openhouse was beautiful.  I've been to the temple 5 times in the last 7 days.  And each time I go I get a massive dose of feeling the peaceful spirit of this special place. 
On Thursday, we all went to the temple as a family.  It was such a neat experience. 

We had friends visiting for Easter and we went to the temple openhouse with them on Monday. It was a beautiful day.

I've learned that the church has owned the land that the temple is on for about 50 years. 

Each of the temples has the words "Holiness to the Lord The House of the Lord" on the front.  They always use the same font and same font size.  After installing the words on this temple, it was pointed out that the font was wrong and the words weren't straight.  So they were replaced.

Hazel's favorite room is the celestial room with it's big and beautiful chandeliers.   The chandeliers were assembled by members by hand.  they are impressive and amazingly beautiful.

 My favorite is the mural depicting the Missouri countryside in springtime. The mural was painted by a local artist.
