We were the only visitors at the time we went. It was neat to hear the account of the trial these men faced being wrongly imprisoned in such an inhospitable place.
It was cold and cramped and dark and they were barely fed. But this experience helped Jospeh to grow in the strength of the Lord. It was a good experience for our family and for my children to gain a bit of understanding when we talk about the trials and faith of the early saints of the church.

I take it it's just a model of Liberty Jail? It would be fun to visit church history sites.
Reconstruction, built on the original site. An early church historian took measurements and recorded a detailed description before the original building collapsed.
I think it is so great that you have gotten the opportunity to visit Liberty Jail and Independence with your family. Hoping one of these years I will get to go on a church history trip!
