Finally snowed yesterday. My kids were super excited. As glad as I was that it snowed, it seemed that the event caused everything else on my calendar for the day to be put on hold. I'm still not sure why that is the case. But snowy/slick roads made everything this morning take longer to do. I had to use my 4WD just to get out of the neighborhood (and back in). Nate's car was stuck a couple blocks away after trying to take the kids to seminary this morning. So he was home this morning as well. Then we spent the day playing in the snow after school. Now I have a laundry room and fireplace hearth full of wet clothes, mittens, and coats. Still, it might be the only snow we get this year, so I guess everything I had planned will still be around tomorrow. Carpe diem, right?
Toby helped decorate this snowman...thus the horns and weird ice ears.
Isaac was trying to make an igloo.
The boys found huge sheets of ice in the creek and brought them all to the backyard.
Isaac spent a good portion of the afternoon wading in the creek, finding more ice. I'm surprised he didn't end up with boots full of icy water.
It was a good day.

Snow just doesn't appeal to me anymore - does that make me old??
