Christmas Cleanup

While I love Christmas, and everything it comes with, I get tired of all the Christmas clutter.  The tree and its needles that end up everywhere (even artificial trees shed), the nativities everywhere, the piles of books and presents and wrappings and dishes.  So I was so excited to clean it all up Monday morning.

Besides, I think I forgot to water the tree a few weeks ago, and it was a leeettle (say that with a dispicable me accent) dried out and dead.

So we are now back to our usual, more managable clutter.  And Christmas has been all put away.  And all the needles have been vacuumed/swept up.  It does feel a bit empty after the overwhelming nature of Christmas.  But its good to declutter and to free up some visual and mental space.  It almost makes me want to do some spring cleaning....almost.

Our very quiet Christmas produced almost no Christmas clutter. We have enough major remodel Christmas to go around though!! And now that we are getting things back in order, I honestly wish I had the time to de-clutter the whole house!!

It is good to de clutter. We took down our Christmas stuff as well and it had only been up since the 17th. We are definitely in the cleaning mode. something that Dad and I have done whenever we lived somewhere where it was possible. See you soon.
