Hazel's school recently had their book fair. I love book fairs. I always buy way to many books. But I keep doing it. This is one of the books I picked up.
It's a fictional story about an 11 year old girl with cerebral palsy and how she learns to communicate with those around her. But though the girl is made up, it was an interesting exploration of how we interact with special needs individuals. It is a book I think that is a good one to read with your children as well. I think fourth and fifth graders could understand the content with some conversations with adults. Anyway, check it out. I liked it.

Thanks for the referral - sometimes books about disabled kids are contrived but this one sounds good.
